Antaux

"Before", in both the temporal and spatial sense ("in front of"). Thus, in both "he arrived before me" and "I stood before the door", antaux is used. Antaux also means "ago": antaux du jaroj = "two years ago". The phrase antaux ol is used as a conjunction: mi mangxos antaux ol li parolos = "I will eat before he speaks."
