Aims

The course aims to:

• teach a rigorous approach, enabling the widespread penetration of formal approaches into industry

• enable students to justify the employment of Formal Description Techniques (FDTs) in general, and LOTOS in particular, for design and development of information processing systems

• transfer knowledge to industry about LOTOS, its applications and tools

• show students how to engage in practical exercises using computer tool support for LOTOS.
